Braided Brake Lines
Two of the most important items to create a good brake pedal feel are good and clean brake fluid and a good set of braided brake lines.
The fluid I run is ATE TYP200, I never had problems with it in terms of boiling or squishy feeling. I tend to change it before every track day or once a year. Regardless of the brand of the fluid the most important thing is to keep it clean.
The brake lines I decided to use were Goodridge braided brake lines (Goodridge Part No. : STY0200-4) (video on youtube), I had the chance to buy the in discount and so they were cheaper then buying a custom set.
First impression I had with them was the increase in brake modulation capacity, this means a better control on locking the wheels, what meant I had more confidence in straight line braking and trail braking.
After some trackdays I noticed that the original front brake pads wore fatige and couldn´t withstand track use, so I devided to change the front set up to a Big Brake Kit, witch meant that I needed new front braided brake lines.
As the new brake lines aren´t standard I had to buy a custom pair wish I did from speedingparts.eu.
I also changed the brake fluid from ATE TYP200 to Motul RBF660 just because I wanted to experiment something more race appropriated with a boiling temperature higher than the TYP200.
