Steering Wheel

In search of the best driving position, one item that in the original set up in completely wrong, for me, is the position and diameter of the steering wheel. The steering column in the AE92 only allows vertical adjustment. For the driving position I prefer, I need the steering wheel closer and in order to do that, I have to sacrifice the leg room, which I consider equally important.

The parameters I had, to achive my desire driving position, were: a total of more than 130 mm on the steering wheel and hub combo, and a diameter of less than 270mm.

With these numbers in mind I landed on the Sparco hub and Sabelt SW390 steering wheel. The Sparco hub was the biggest I could find, with 70mm in length. In terms of steering wheels I had many choices, who were able to achive the desired measurements. I sticked with the Sabelt only because of looks, as I already had Sabelt harness.
