Short Shifter

The two alternatives that i had were, buying a TRD short shifter, that is hard to find and expensive, or make one my self, modifying the original.

My idea was not only to make the travel of the shifter shorter but also to make it more precise and better feeling.

The first modification done was extending the lower part of the shifter using 8mm rod, then to compensate for the extra length the center structure had to be lifted and the secondary selector extended.

After some months of use, the 8mm rod broke duo to fadigue. After that i ended up changing the 8mm rod for 12mm one.

The second part of the modifications were to make the shifter tighter, for that I replaced the rubber bushing found inside the centrar structure for one 3D printed in PETG. This removed all the play the shifter had and made night and day diference on the feel.
